As you click your way through the various websites and travel from program to program you must answer some very important questions: Is the program in a location that fits you? Do you prefer university-based or community-based training? Does the call schedule seem appropriate? Are the current residents happy and satisfied with their training? What is the reputation of the faculty? Many of your questions can be answered on the Internet. Some of your questions will be answered only during a visit. Ultimately, you must decide if the program fits with what you need to grow personally and professionally as you prepare for a career in family medicine.
