On behalf of our residents and faculty, welcome to our website. I hope your visit here indicates you are interested in family medicine. I am proud to say this is where I completed my residency training. I feel blessed to have trained here and to remain here as a member of the faculty. There are several things that distinguish us from other training programs. While some things have changed about the program since I graduated in 2000, the most important things remain. Allow me to tell you about them.
Residents who complete their training here can practice anywhere. Seriously, whether it is rural America, the inner city, a foreign medical mission, an intensive care unit, a labor and delivery unit – you will be prepared to practice in that location. Expanding your practice of medicine is very difficult once you complete your training. The skills you leave residency with will be the ones that carry you through your career. Choose a residency that will prepare you for the future wherever it takes you.
Our residents and faculty are truly remarkable people. I am continually impressed by our resident’s consideration of one another, their integrity, their work ethic, and their character. When someone needs help, residents are always willing to help that person. Likewise, the faculty are an impressive group of teachers. They view their primary job as being your teacher, not being in private practice. They also are eager to establish relationships that extend beyond professional, mentoring you in all aspects of your life.
Does this sound appealing to you? We would love to show you the joy we have in practicing family medicine as part of our team at Saints. Contact us to schedule an interview or rotation with us.
